Surprise!

Iain Paul Archibald has arrived!

He was born at 11:11 am, 1/28/08, after my water broke unexpectedly, Sunday morning. He weighs 6 lbs. 15 oz and is 21.5 inches long. He was 35 weeks, 3 days along, fortunately, thanks to the prayers of many of you, you wouldn't know he was quite that pre-term from the way he looks, sounds, or behaves. He been consistently measuring on all of the above as 37 weeks along. Praise the Lord!

Please do keep him in your prayers; he is being observed in the NICU for a heart arrhythmia (skipping every 3rd beat), and due to being under 36 weeks. I'm trying not to worry, as there's nothing I can do but pray that he's fine. I am, however, preparing myself to go home before my baby. Come, Lord Jesus

WOW! I thought this was a joke at first... but that boy looks soft, pink, white just like his parents :D He's a cutie and looks much bigger than a 35 week baby!! Congrats mom and dad! Welcome Iain! I can't wait to meet you in person. I'll be praying he can come home quite soon with no complications!
Love and prayers,
Aunt Reenie

Hurray, your son has finally seen the light!! He looks like a strong, strapping young lad. I'll pray that he comes home very quickly; time out of mommy's and daddy's arms is no fun for baby.

Oh, goody! More males in the Fenton extended clan! And he looks like a strong one! Now here's what you need to do(Parenting boys one-o-one, from Kevin Keiser, former boys camp registration manager): 1. Feed him cows and pigs and sheep. 2. Make him watch westerns. 3. Maybe some sports...
I'm sure y'all'll do fine. Welcome to Iain! May he come home soon!

Uncle Kevin (we're going to have fun!)

I know I just sent an email, but I am so excited for you. He looks so healthy... I'm sure a little time, a little parental loving and a whole lot of breastmilk will see him happily at home with you guys. You are certainly in our prayers and thoughts. So much love to you all!

Congratulations! and thanks for signing in to let us know. I heard the first half of the story from Heidi and am so glad to hear the rest here. Wow--he is one big boy! We are celebrating Eva reaching the same size at 15 weeks old, although she may still look smaller. :) Love to all three of you, and we'll be praying for a speedy recovery and return home for Iain.
